Its that time of the year again the weather is changing and the rains are coming.
Yes that means the fishing season is back particularly trout and bass fishing…
My friend Clinton Harris and I went fishing on Satuday.(We were actually trying our luck as its to early to start fishing now), or thats what we thought. We were at the golf course dam (as we call it) by 6:30am it was a little cold but not too cold.
We got our lines into the water as soon as we got there.
I was getting used to the new bait caster I bought the day before.
and Clinton was casting a red blood worm lure into the water neither of us were really expecting anything and all of a sudden he had a hit and it was a large large mouth bass on the other side of the line, unfortunatly Clint was a little slow on the strike and wasn’t able to set the hook properly and lost the fish.
We stuck around for another 45minutes and nothing. We decided to move to a different location, and on the first cast Clint had another hit. This time he was spot on with the strike and it was FISH ON!
He got the fish on the side in no time it was a nice sized one too.
We didn’t weigh it but we think it was about 1kg.
We tried a little longer very optomistic and after about 30 minutes nothing.
Clint walked about 100 meter further and again first cast he had another fish on, about the same size as before.
I unfortunatly didn’t even get a nibble, needless to say that sucks a little but I will be back out there next week trying again.
I have added some pictures above of the dam we went fishing at and a picture of the two fish that Clint cought.
When I checked it was time to get back as I had a 10 o’clock viewing in Crystal Park and then a 11′oclock viewing in Payneville.
P.S
If you were wondering?
Both viewings went great both clients want to sign early this week.
